For many people, the business card is the primary presentation of your business. With that in mind, it's important that you use your business card as an extension of your branding, and the best way to do that is to have a card that not only stands out, but communicates in a vital way what your business is.  Colors, typography, image, and even the type of paper your card is made of - these can all come into factor when presenting the right image for your business.  Perception counts: no matter how knowledgeable and experienced a doctor may be, if he's slovenly and is incredibly rude, you're likely to take that notion to heart and stay clear, no matter his talents.

Sometimes the best of notions may not work for your brand.  Take, for example, a conversation I had one day with an individual who handed me his business card.  It was a simple affair, with black and blue ink and looked very sleek and stylish for a technology company. There was just one problem: the gentleman was in the food services industry, something that the average person would not have known by looking at the card.  While his logo and branding needed work (which is another story for another day), the colors and fonts chosen did even more to confuse potential customers, thus making a simple food producer look like a great tech company (which was not even close to his intent).

With a situation like the above, even if you have a perfectly designed logo, the colors and style of card chosen all tie in together to bring your brand to the forefront of your customer's interest.  If you've got it all tied together, they work in concert to your benefit; but if not, you have a virtual trainwreck in progress.  It is thus important that your business card be at its best, and we can help with this!
